Upgrade kit for exhaust flange gasket in between heat exchanger manifold housing and exhaust elbow for Volvo Penta D2-50 & D2-55 marine diesel engines.

The original gasket / flange is made of stainless material that might cause corrosion when its mounted together with the heat exchanger housing made of aluminum.

The corrosion usually causing exhaust leak into the engine compartment or even worse coolant leak into the exhaust valve chamber.

This aftermarket upgrade flange kit is produced of alternative aluminum material that has been tested with good results in order to minimize the corrosion of the heat exchanger housing given that the mounting is made according to the provided instructions.

Due to the thickness of the flange its also possible to repair corroded/damaged heat exchanger housing in a simple way (tig-welding)
